Internship UX Research
Exact · Delft, Netherlands
Paid
Do you want to conduct research yourself as well as help build how we organize research smarter? In this internship, you will participate in interviews, surveys, and usability tests, and help us further establish ResearchOps: from recruitment to documentation and enablement. You will work with UX and Product and make research just a little easier (and better) for everyone.
This = What you are going to do:
- Exact is a large organization, and there is always something to do. Together with you, we determine what sparks your interest and where you can make the greatest impact. In any case, we challenge you to combine hands-on work with strategic support. Here are a few examples of what you might be doing:
- Hands-on research; you prepare interviews, conduct them, and translate what you hear into clear insights and recommendations.
- You set up and facilitate usability tests: clarifying tasks and scenarios, moderating sessions, and prioritizing findings.
- You contribute to surveys: refining questions, distributing them, analyzing them, and connecting the results with qualitative input.
- Occasionally, you facilitate a group session (such as a focus group), if that suits the request.
- You use and assist in the development of AI tools to perform these hands-on activities more efficiently.
- Strategic support via ResearchOps; you help make recruitment and participant management smoother: screening, planning, communication, and follow-up.
- You contribute to building more consistent research documentation (design, findings, recommendations), so that research remains useful later on.
- You help build and maintain our AI research repository so that insights remain findable and do not disappear into separate decks.
- You support enablement: internal workshops/events and practical materials that help colleagues conduct research smarter and use it better.
- You are given the space to identify and drive improvements yourself: you see where the friction lies, make a proposal, and help make it actually work.
This = what you bring
- Above all, be yourself with us. We are curious about what makes you unique. What helps in this internship:
- You already have some experience with (or a clear affinity for) UX research—for example, through studies, an internship, a part-time job, or your own projects.
- You feel comfortable with interviews and/or usability tests (or you are at a point where you are growing quickly into doing them independently).
- You can separate main issues from minor ones: you extract the core from sessions or data and write it down clearly and action-oriented.
- You work in a structured manner: you maintain an overview of planning, participants, documentation, and follow-up.
- You take initiative: you see where things can be improved and enjoy making practical improvements (not just pointing them out).
- You collaborate easily with various colleagues (UX, PMs, and developers) and are not afraid to ask follow-up questions.
- You have an excellent command of the Dutch language – this is a requirement.
- In addition, you feel comfortable in English, both spoken and written.
Do you not meet all the requirements, but do you think this is exactly the internship for you? Please apply.
This = what you get
At Exact, we work hard. And there is something in return for that. We consider the balance between effort and relaxation very important. For instance, you can work up a sweat in our own gym. Or take a moment to relax at the coffee bar. Clear your head for a bit and then throw yourself back into your daily tasks with renewed energy. And of course, that is not all. For your internship, you can also count on a:
- An internship allowance
- An international work environment
- Nice colleagues who think it's important that you feel at home
- Plenty of room to develop and contribute your own ideas
