Stage UX & Service Design

Nedap · Groenlo, Netherlands

€550 - €650
What are you going to do?
How do you ensure that information recording in healthcare feels like a logical part of the work process, rather than administration? In this graduation project, you will investigate how we can evolve within the Ons® Suite from standalone, task-oriented questionnaires to an integrated and future-proof way of working.

In doing so, you look not only at forms or screens, but rather at the bigger picture: what information do healthcare professionals record, why do they do so, and at what point in their workflow does this belong? With your research, you help guide how Ons® structurally handles information recording within healthcare processes.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate and analyze: you investigate how healthcare professionals record information within Ons® and which goals are central to this. Additionally, you analyze the current questionnaires, reports, and workflow actions within the Ons® Suite.
  • Identify and develop: you identified patterns, bottlenecks, and opportunities within existing work processes. Additionally, you develop a generic framework of design principles for information recording.
  • Translation and phrasing: you translate research insights into conceptual designs for 2–3 concrete use cases and formulates strategic recommendations for the further development of Ons®.
  • To collaborate: You brainstorm with designers, developers, and product owners to test ideas and take them further.

Your team
You will collaborate with designers, developers, and product owners within the Ons® Suite (web & app). The team focuses on improving work processes for healthcare professionals, with a strong emphasis on user-friendliness and smart integration of functionality.

We work in a multidisciplinary and iterative manner: ideas are quickly validated, tested, and improved. You are given the space to conduct independent research, but you are never alone. Expect short lines of communication, open discussions, and a healthy dose of curiosity.

What do you get in return?
At Nedap, we believe in freedom and responsibility — for students too. You are given the space to shape your assignment in your own way, in close collaboration with your team. You work partly from home and partly on our campus in Groenlo.

In addition, you can count on:
  • Ownership : you develop a framework that is actually used within Nedap.
  • Guidance : substantive support from an experienced expert.
  • Community : participation in the Nedap Student Day.
  • Compensation : €550 – €650 per month (full-time).
  • Future prospects : opportunity to stay at Nedap after your assignment.

Required skills
We are looking for someone who is curious and not afraid to take responsibility. Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following:
  • You are pursuing a higher professional education (HBO) program in UX Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Service Design, or a similar field.
  • You are interested in complex systems and enjoy bringing structure to complexity.
  • You are analytically strong and can translate research insights into concrete design proposals.
  • You look beyond a single screen or feature and think in terms of end-to-end user processes.
  • You work independently, but actively seek collaboration and feedback.
  • Affinity with healthcare or data-driven products is a plus.
