Job Description
Overview:
As a UI Designer at Sopra Steria, you will play a key role in transforming complex challenges into intuitive and visually engaging digital solutions for our clients. Your work will have a direct impact on user satisfaction and business success, ensuring consistency, usability, and creativity across all digital touchpoints.
As part of our multidisciplinary innovation and design team, you will collaborate closely with UX & service designers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to create high-quality interfaces for web and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface Design: Creating visually harmonious, intuitive, and responsive digital interfaces. Translating business requirements and functional objectives into visual solutions aligned with user needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with UX designers, front-end developers, and product owners to ensure seamless integration between visual design and expected functionality. Participating in co-design workshops and cross-functional reviews.
- Prototyping: Creating high-fidelity prototypes using industry-standard tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) to simulate realistic interactions for user testing and stakeholder presentations.
- Design System Development: Contributing to the development and maintenance of modular design systems, including UI kits, reusable component libraries, and visual guidelines, ensuring consistency and scalability across all digital touchpoints.
- User-Centered Design: Continuously integrating qualitative and quantitative feedback to optimize layouts, visual hierarchies, and micro-interactions, consistently supporting the optimization of the final user experience.
- Brand Identity: Ability to apply brand guidelines to every digital project, ensuring visual consistency and helping to build a recognizable and memorable brand identity.
- Accessibility: Design of inclusive interfaces compliant with WCAG standards, taking into account the diverse needs of users.
- Design Handover: Preparation of detailed documentation for handoff to the development team, including visual and behavioral specifications and functional notes
- Continuous Improvement: Curiosity about developments in digital design, new technologies, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Digital Design, Communication Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or a related field;
- 2 years of experience in UI design for digital products (web/mobile), preferably in a consulting environment;
- Strong proficiency in visual design tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.;
- Solid knowledge of responsive design, layout, typography, color theory, and composition;
- Familiarity with the basics of front-end development (HTML/CSS) to facilitate collaboration with developers;
- Portfolio showcasing a range of UI design projects and demonstrating an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of experience design principles, ability to work on wireframes and user flows;
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices;
- Experience with design systems and component libraries;
- Experience working in agile/Scrum teams and/or on design sprints;
- Skills in animation or motion design (Adobe After Effects, Principle, etc.) are a plus;
- Previous experience in sectors such as public services, banking, energy, or government projects is preferred.
