User Experience Researcher

We are looking for a User Experience Researcher to join our User Experience Team (Life Science & Healthcare) in Barcelona.
The UX Researcher will play a crucial role in uncovering user needs, pain points, and behaviors to inform and enhance our product experience. By applying qualitative and quantitative research methods, the researcher will generate insights that drive user-centered design solutions, ensuring alignment with product vision and business goals.
This role involves close collaboration with product managers, designers, and developers to translate research findings into actionable design recommendations.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience conducting user research in a UX or product development environment.
- Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Experience leveraging AI tools and techniques to enhance UX research, including insight generation, synthesis, and scaling qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Proficiency in conducting user interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
- Ability to analyze and interpret research data to extract meaningful insights.
- Familiarity with UX design principles and how research informs design.
- Experience with research tools such as Maze, Qualtrics, or similar

- Experience in the Life Sciences, bioinformatics, pharmacology, or healthcare technology is a plus.
- Previous experience in mentoring or guiding junior researchers or UX designers is a plus.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate complex findings into actionable recommendations.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Conduct end-to-end user research across journeys and key scenarios to uncover needs, behaviours, pain points, and AI-driven opportunities, generating actionable insights that inform and guide design decisions.
- Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including usability testing, surveys, interviews, and ethnographic research.
- Create UX research artifacts such as personas, journey maps, and research reports.
- Analyze research findings and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations for the design and product teams.
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback, applying insights gained to improve the effectiveness of designs.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate research findings into the design and development process.
- Maintain and manage a repository of research findings and insights to ensure accessibility and usability across teams.
- Advocate for the user by bringing a strong research-driven perspective to decision-making processes.
- Develop and refine research methodologies and best practices to enhance the team’s research capabilities.
- Communicate research findings effectively through presentations, reports, and workshops.
About the Team
- You’ll be part of a Global team of 17 colleagues including UX Researchers, UX Designers and Developers, you will be reporting to the Director, User Experience Design for Life Sciences and Healthcare, based in London (UK)

Hours of Work
This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week (35 hours during July and August). The position is hybrid requiring attendance to our office in Barcelona (next to Sagrada Familia) 2-3 times per week.
