Role Overview

We are looking for a versatile and creative UX/UI Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be central to shaping the visual experience of our web GIS and mapping applications, while also contributing to our brand presence through graphic design and multimedia content. You will work closely with developers, GIS specialists, project managers and marketing to deliver products that are both functional and visually compelling.

Key Responsibilities

UX/UI Design & Web GIS

• Design intuitive user interfaces for web map applications and web GIS platforms

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for spatial data visualization tools

• Develop clear, user-friendly map layouts including legend design, symbology, and cartographic styling

• Conduct UX research, usability testing, and iterative design improvements

• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure faithful implementation of designs

• Maintain and evolve design systems and component libraries for GIS products

Graphic Design

• Produce high-quality visual assets (website, social media, and other marketing channels)

• Design branded templates, infographics, and data visualization graphics

• Work with Figma and Canva for rapid content creation and team-wide template management

• Use Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for advanced graphic production

Video Production

• Plan, shoot, and edit promotional and explainer videos for products and services

• Produce motion graphics and animated visual content to communicate GIS and spatial data concepts

• Manage video assets and maintain consistent visual branding across all video outputs

• Create social media video content and short-form digital campaigns

Requirements

Essential

• Proven experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating web application design

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic front-end concepts

• Hands-on experience with Canva for professional content creation

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro or After Effects)

• Experience in or strong interest in map design, GIS applications, or spatial data visualization

• Video editing skills with experience producing polished, branded video content

• Strong visual communication skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• Familiarity with web GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Online

• Understanding of cartographic principles and map design best practices

• Experience with motion graphics tools (After Effects, Adobe Animate)
