UX/UI Designer Intern — Relatech Group (Advisory Business Unit)
Location: Milan · Work Arrangement: Hybrid · Contract: 6-month internship · Monthly Salary: €1,000 + €7 meal vouchers

🌍 The Company
At Relatech Group, we believe that innovation has value only when it generates a real impact. We support companies across all industries in their digital transformation, offering services and designing solutions that integrate data, artificial intelligence, and innovative technologies—from strategy to execution. We do this through four specialized and integrated business units: Digital (software development, Data & AI), Cyber (cybersecurity), Advisory (strategic, organizational, and business consulting), and Industrial (digitization of production processes). Our true driving force is our people: we invest in skill development, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

🚀 The Position
To strengthen the Advisory Business Unit, we’re looking for a UX/UI Designer Intern. You’ll join the Design team and work on UX/UI and Experience Design projects, contributing to the design of digital products and services for clients across various industries. Working alongside more senior designers, you’ll be involved in the various stages of the process: from understanding user needs and business requirements to defining user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces. We’re looking for someone at the beginning of their career, with a solid foundation in UX/UI design, a strong visual sensibility, and a desire to tackle real-world, complex design challenges.

🧠 What will you do?

  • Support the analysis of user needs and business requirements, helping to translate them into digital solutions
  • Contribute to the design of user journeys, user flows, and information architectures
  • Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to explore and validate different solutions
  • Design high-fidelity interfaces in Figma for apps, web applications, portals, and digital platforms
  • Work on layouts, visual hierarchies, typography, spacing, components, states, and interaction patterns
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of the Design System and component libraries
  • Support UX research, benchmarking, and usability testing
  • Iterate on designed solutions based on feedback, testing, and discussions with the team
  • Collaborate with designers, business stakeholders, and technical teams, taking into account development requirements and constraints
  • Participate in workshops and co-design sessions with clients and stakeholders
  • Experiment with new experience paradigms related to AI, conversational experiences, and generative interfaces

👤 Who are we looking for?

Skills

  • Knowledge of the fundamental principles of UX Design, UI Design, and Interaction Design
  • Proficiency with Figma, particularly Auto Layout, components, and prototyping
  • Ability to create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Strong visual sensibility and knowledge of the principles of layout, typography, color, spacing, and visual hierarchy
  • Basic knowledge of the principles of responsive design
  • Familiarity with the concept of Design Systems and component-based design
  • Basic knowledge of UX research and usability testing methodologies
  • Ability to explain and justify design decisions
  • Good command of written and spoken English

Experience
: No prior professional experience is required. We are looking for students or recent graduates in Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Product Design, Communication Design, or related fields, or individuals with equivalent skills gained through educational programs and personal projects. It is important to have a portfolio that showcases UX/UI projects and your design reasoning: the problem addressed, the evolution of the solution, and key UX and UI decisions.

Practical
Experience We will view experience gained through university projects, theses, bootcamps, personal projects, or freelance work favorably, particularly in the design of apps, websites, platforms, or other digital products. We’re not looking for a perfect portfolio: we’re interested in seeing how you reason, how you design an experience, and how you translate your decisions into an interface.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of digital accessibility principles
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and the main constraints of front-end development
  • Experience—including academic experience—with Design Systems
  • Knowledge of advanced prototyping tools or motion design
  • Familiarity with service design, customer journeys, and service blueprints
  • Interest in AI, Generative UI, and new interaction paradigms

We’d love to find someone who is curious, proactive, team-oriented, and eager to learn and grow.
